BIO
Out of the utter chaos & devastation of the past four to five years and from a world imploded. Rises a phoenix ,"OK,OK". More like a dragon that thinks he's a phoenix. But anyway, One that's wanting to put out new music infusing different types of worldly instruments & musical styles onto a hard rock based stage... ~Hope you enjoy the ride/flight!

At the end of the 80s
I Started going to a hideaway storage where bands Rehearsed And some just jammed Those guys I like to call the variety pickup. Periodically through the night Different people would stop in and some I play guitar on 2 or 3 songs Others Sing 2 or 3 different songs. Mostly 80s Hard rock covers, My favorite To sing were Ain't talking about love, You got another thing coming, Love ain't no stranger & Save all your love.
At the end of the summer of '88. I tried out for singer in a friend of mine band. "AFTERMATH A.D." I played my 1st show Halloween '88 at The brewery which would soon become my home away from home. But the next day they shit canned me right out of the band. Let's say I needed and soon after got more experience jammin'As the 80s came to an end......
All in the Name
While hanging out in one of those 60's/70's style pop up campers with a friend of mine Atlas D. We'd jam, him play the acoustic guitar & myself sing the M.O.D. song "Ode to Harry". He started calling me Billysahn Like papasanh & mamasanh, On the grounds that when I'd catch a buzz, I'd get Chinese eyed and you couldn't understand what the hell I was saying. The nick names stuck to the point where I finally decided to use it as my stage name Of course. Everyone In the music scene would just call me "Sahn". So what the hell. The Sahn It would become.
Never Ending 90's
At the beginning of what would be one hot and sweltering summer In 1990. I embarked on a quest that • change my life forever.
What Tuesday evening I moved my Equipment from one storage room down to the next building, passing 2 hair bands rehearsing and one other band. Little creepy dudes I think they called themselves little monsters. Anyway started jamming with 3 guys that still to this day would call them more than friends more like brothers. Carlos Ameri, James Mole & Ernie Ray. Tub of Noise. At that time the chemistry was overwhelming and weeks later I would meet a woman that would not only break my heart, but shattered into 1,000,000 pieces. Blazing heat '90 to the coldest winter of '92 that Lineup would make some great music. One year later would be the shattering of a heart. Which some say makes for good Lyrics...
So now as '93 takes off steps in a phenomenal guitarist one of my favorites John Wrenn and bassist Greg Bradner. We would do our 1st gig at a small festival called Maiden Lane about a block off of NC State campus with a drummer named Allen Badger that I went to school with in the 9th grade under the name Ignorant Bitch. Shortly after I would move on to other things in life, we incorporated a new drummer Beth McCafty. She was super badass drummer. The 1st female I'd played in a band with, which also meant we'd have to change the name Of course. With her throwing out ideas it was changed to Thornback. This band would go on for Another good year In a couple of months doing 2 demos, playing A good amount of shows and wrote some kick ass songs, But Like always somethings must come to an end.
So in the spring of '95 found myself Capital boulevard near the cotton gin. In a rehearsal space Jamming with Ron Dalgo, Jason Myers, Tim Haisman and Desmond white jamming a 1 night only amazing jam I don't know if we recorded it or not. Week or 2 later Sat down and start a jamming with Drummer John Kinlaw with Dalgo and Myrick. Needing a bass player, I reached out to bassist Brian Zuccaro AKA Bridog. Went & drop Dalgo off in Atlanta So he could do his Stuck Mojo thing. Filling his shoes we were to get in contact with Paul Quinn and formed the band "RESIN". That line that would Record a 3 song demo and play some Great shows all the way through to the fall of '97. Show We found ourselves Without a drummer And down 1 guitar We brought in Matt Bradsher revised our style went out as a 4 pc flying the same flag " RESIN". We recorded a full length album In our old stomping ground "The Brewery". And sadly the band would play it's last show on my birthday In '99.Now I can really say about the last few years of the 90's they were very reckless in so many ways and yet we survived them...
2014
Yeah 2014 was an odd year. The X wife & I separated. Start jamming with a band we named ALIEN8 & a brethren of mine Jason Myrick from RESIN Passed away. It was a Very sad and surreal year. But that's Life and life goes on that's why I keep on singing this song.
